Sheaffer Vac/Plunge fill Blind Cap Rod Brass End Nut.

These are Genuine Sheaffer Brass End cap Locking Nuts, some cleaning and polishing may be required.

These are used to lock the plunge rod into the end cap, when

the Rod is screwed directly into the End Cap

The second photo shows the Nut in place.
